The Main Temple is open three side with a traditionalroof over the area where the deity is seen blessing the devotees. They allow photography everywhere. There is a temple of lord Shiva in the Paataal here. Brahma the Hindu god of creation, four headed facing and all four directions symbolizing his presence everywhere. The temple has marble floors and stairs and coins have been put by the devotees to mark the the births and deaths of their loved ones.

The temple was originally built in the 12th century but suffered severe destruction at the hands of Aurangzeb. He disliked the lifesize image of Lord Varah with a head of boar and body of a man. Varah -the Boar is the third incarnation of lord Vishnu. Legend has it that Varah rescued the earth from the depth of the primeval water. where it had been dragged down by a demon.
