The 1772 home of Patrick Smyth has been open to the public since 1953, with genuine furnishings which depict the lives of occupants. The Old Fort House Museum was constructed by Patrick Smyth in 1772 with timbers taken from the ruins of Fort Edward , a French and Indian War fortification.Museum has palanquins, lavishly, a golden throne, shoes with pearls, paintings, mirrors, cribs weapons and a magnificently embroidered royal tent among its exhibits.
