Dundlod is the small town.It is situated in the heart of the Shekhawati region. It is an exciting stopover against beautiful surroundings. It generates very little tourist interest but the fort here dates back to 1750 AD. It is owned by the descendant of Rawal who built the place.The fort of Dundlod is an embodiment of the cultural amalgamation of the Rajputana and Mughal Schools of Art and Architecture. Its motif of flowers and foliage, minarets, mythological paintings, archaic furniture, wall hangings of arrows, and shields have remained unchanged since ages. Staying in Dundlod Fort is almost like living through the days of James Tod who once described the splendors of Rajasthan.

Dundlod is a small village lying around 7 kms north of Nawalgarh. It is situated in the heart of the Shekhawati region. Its small fort was built in 1750 by Keshari Singh, who was the youngest son of a Rajput ruler Sardul Singh. Major changes were made in the early 19th century by the Sheo Singh. The fort of Dundlod is an embodiment of the cultural of the Rajputana and Mughal Schools of Art and Architecture. Its motif of flowers and foliage, minarets, mythological paintings, archaic furniture, wall hangings of arrows have remained unchanged since ages.Staying in Dundlod Fort is almost like living through the days of James Tod who once described the splendors of Rajasthan.
